What does it mean to be an "Affiliate"?
Affiliate means
to be associated or connected. Affiliate programs are basically
partnerships between businesses and webmasters. It is an innovative and
convenient way to expand markets. Sometimes affiliate programs are
referred to as associate, partner or referral programs.
What do I earn when one of my visitors clicks through and buys from you, or uses a "Gift Certificate" and enters my Affiliate ID Number during the check-out process?
You earn a first tier commission of 20%
What is a second tier?
A second tier
commission is a commission paid on each sale by an affiliate you
referred. If the referred affiliate makes a sale you earn commission
for referring them.
For example,
let's say Bob comes to your site and clicks the banner or text link to
the our site and makes a purchase. You would earn the first tier
commission.
Now, let's say
that instead of buying something at our site, Bob decided to sign up
for our affiliate program. He places a link to us on his website. Sue
comes to his site, clicks on our banner and makes a purchase at our
site. Bob will earn a first tier commission for sending us a buying
customer. You will earn a second tier commission for sending us Bob - a
good, performing affiliate.
Our second tier commission rate is 5%.
Likewise, if Bob owned a tanning salon and passed out "Gift Certificates" to his 2000 customers with his Affiliate ID Number on them, you would earn 5% on all of his customer's purchases.
When are commission checks sent?
We send checks on the 15th of each month. You will only be send a check once you have earned at least $25 in the program.
How do I know how much I have earned? You will be given
a username and a password and will be able to access your Affiliate
Administration Panel through My Affiliate Program Software by
KowaBunga! Technologies. There, you can obtain information on the
number of impressions and click-throughs you have generated, as well as
commissions earned.
Do I have to have my own site to be an Affiliate? No, you can use a link in your Email Messages, Newsletters, etc.
This link will direct the reader to the us and track them so that we know to give you a commission when they purchase.
Additionally you can participate in "off-line marketing".
Do you handle all of the transactions ? or do I have to get a merchant account and start taking orders at my site? We handle all transactions through our site. We just need you to send us traffic - we'll do the rest!
